Gautam
Gautam joined us in September 2025 to support our deep learning work aimed to understand the role of codon usage bias in gene expression and protein output.
Biography
Gautam holds a BSc in Chemistry (Hons) from the University of Delhi and a Master's in Chemical Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. During his Master's, he worked on designing a novel antagonist for the LTB4R1 receptor, a GPCR implicated in inflammation, using computational chemistry approaches alongside a directed message passing neural network. Following this, he joined the Department of Biochemistry at IISc Bangalore as a Project Associate, where he developed deep learning models to understand and model protein-ligand interactions.
